Here's a quick update for the guys who play in Sony Online Entertainment's Vanguard: Saga of Heroes MMORPG. The developers are announcing that they'll be temporarily shutting down the game's servers later today at 5:00 a.m. PDT for the weekly restart.

We stress the point that this downtime will affect all of Vanguard's servers: the devs hope to implement the character transfers during the maintenance. As a result, the game will be down longer than usual, and should be back online by 9:00 a.m. PDT.

The devs further remind the players that their chance to switch servers is going to end soon. Those interested in making a transfer will want to visit the official Vanguard site.
