Official news here, that EVE 1.1 Patch, a major update to EVE Online: Dominion, is now live! With the launch of version 1.1, EVE Online has seen the conversion of motherships to "Supercarriers," which will also have new EVE Fighter Bombers at their command. Fighter bombers are capable of firing heavy anti-capital weaponry such as compact citadel torpedoes. A dev blog on the new EVE Fighter Bombers by CCP Abathur is also available.

EVE Patch 1.1 also adds voice fonts to EVE Voice, which will allow roleplayers as well as those who want to remain anonymous to modulate their voice in a number of ways.

User cosy has tipped us off to a few early examples of what the voice fonts are capable of. I'm sure this is only the beginning of the sort of hilarity and nefariousness we can expect to see in the future.

Of course, you can expect the full range of tweaks, balances (especially for capital ships), and UI improvements in this latest patch.
